British GT Championship/Donington

Another second place for Ni Amorim

Ni Amorim wins another second place in the Donington Park's Sunday race, scene of the second race for the British GT Championship. Wheeling the DRM Racing's Ferrari F360 Modena, shared with british ace Adam Wilcox, Amorim ends the race behind the Porsche GT3 drived by Rowland/Hindley, who wins the Cup Class.

"I'm happy with this result." - said Amorim. "I'm sure about the possibilities of fighting by the championship. All the team was very professional and the car was reliable. By now, the Porsche was a little better than the Ferrari. But the DRM Racing is just working in new improvements for the Ferrari, like a more powerful engine, a new aerodynamic pack and a new exhaust system."

The next race was held at Mondello Park, in North Ireland, the 8 and 9 of May.

Ni Amorim in the British GT Championship 

A new challenge 

Ni Amorim starts tomorrow a new year in is profissional career as a driver. In fact, the portuguese driver will be at the first race of the British GT Championship, in Donington Park circuit. Wheeling a DRM Racing's Ferrari F360 Modena, shared with the experienced Adam Wilcox, Ni Amorim believe that's possible fight for the very first places:
"For me, that was a new challenge. I never run before in the United Kingdom and, of course, I don't know almost all the tracks, apart from Silverstone and Donington Park."

Ni Amorim, after the last practices at Brands Hatch and Donington, was very confident with is new team, DRM Racing: "The team was very professional and I'm sure that the car was reliable and fast. So, because we are always in good shape during the last practices, I believe that's possible for us fight for the first places in the GT Cup Class."

The British GT Championship was a very interesting challenge for Ni Amorim: "I'm a professional driver and, for me, that's a very interesting way to going on in victory's lane."

Schedule: April 3/4 - Donington; May 8/9 - Mondello Park; June 5/6 - Snetterton; June 19/20 - Castle Combe; July 17/18  - Oulton Park; August 13/15 - Silverstone; August 29/30  - Thruxton; October 1/3 - Brands Hatch.
